This was such an authentic Mexican place at Gulf Shores! I had 3 chicken tacos and I was so impressed by how quick they were to make my order. They were very generous with their portion sizes and I really enjoyed their salsas. Really friendly service and I was really happy with my decision to spontaneously come here!
Fast and oh so good! The birria tacos were top notch! Got a to-go order and it was all just right and packed up well. We shall return!
The food was so amazing I had no intention to write a review before so I didn't get to take a photo of the 10000/10 cheese pull that were in these Barris Tacos! Very authentic and the young man at the front hooked us up with the best recommendations. Washed it down with a Coca Cola that hits just a little bit different in a really nice way. You gotta eat here.
This place is AMAZING! I am originally from San Diego (best authentic mexican food), moved to Illinois and have yet to find a good Birria. I never thought I'd find Birria that reminded me of home in Alabama! I went back for thirds on the Birria Tacos!! Also tried their Carne Asada torta which was also very amazingly yummy!!! Best place for amazing Mexican food. The service was really good, we were greeted very nicely. The music in there was really good as well.

While almost everything was 5 stars, we had 2 items that left us with more of a 4.5 review. Let's start with the good. Birria tacos, yes, please! Soooo good, and my husband has eaten them everywhere. The shells have a nice crunch to them, and the consommé is rich, full of flavor. Burritos asada and something and chorizo suuuuper nice portion and fantastic. I actually split one with my daughter because my meal wasn't so great. The cheese literally melts out of it. Asada quesadilla fantastic and also huuuuge! The cheese literally melts out of it, too. Now, the little bit of bad. The meat in the beef and chicken quesadilla was underseasoned for our 13 year old. We didn't taste it. The half chicken meal was very dry. Great smoky flavor but crunchy dry. It is served with tortillas, but it was so dry it was hard to eat with the tortillas. The pico was great with it as well as the rice and beans. So really just don't get chicken and your going to have a 5 star experience for sure!!!!. Ages of all that ate: 64, 41, 40, 17, 13, 9 so I'd say appropriate for all ages.
We ate here while visiting out of town and when I say 10 out of 10 - we recommend! The food was awesome. We took it back to our condo but it was definitely enough to save for later. The guacamole was fresh. The shredded chicken on our tacos and quesadilla was plentiful... the only down side. They were closed on Sunday and it was my daughter's birthday and this was all she wanted lol. Definitely must try if you're down in Gulf Shores.
Love this little taqueria! The restaurant was clean inside with ample seating outside. The service was quick as we are visiting during the off season. The chicken tacos and quesadilla were very good. The cilantro, lime, and onion were great add-ons and would include in my quesadilla next time.
A-MayZing birria tacos. Only complaint is that they use too much cheese and I ask for half, but that's not really a valid complaint. Delicious!
